Armed forces support: for those who have served in or are leaving the UK armed forces 

Citizens Advice Bureau: a free confidential advice and information service on subjects including welfare benefits, debt, consumer, housing, employment, and family issues.

Food banks: information if you are in need of a food bank

Integrated Autism Service: online advice and support for children, adults and those who support them.

Parkinson’s UK: information and support whether you have Parkinson's or care for someone who does. 

Veterans' Gateway: the first point of contact for veterans seeking support, information and advice from healthcare and housing to employability, finances, personal relationships and more. 

MS Society Counselling - This service will provide 6 free sessions of on-to-on telephone or online counselling and psychotherapy for individuals associated with MS living in Wales.

5 Ways to Wellbeing Coffee Morning: Providing practical tips to look after your wellbeing. First Thursday of every month at 11am. Email [email protected] for Zoom link.

Brain Tumour Support Group: Video Chats offering opportunities for patients, family members, friends and carers to connect and share experience in a virtual space via Zoom.

GDAS Hub: Offering a range on line groups to help with drug or alcohol use.

Newport Live Loud! Zoom group: Providing activities, exercises and group discussions for those with Parkinson’s.

Newport Mind: Activities taking place on Zoom from art, writing, singing and more.

Inside Out: A Community Arts and Mental Health project running a range of activities on Zoom.

Neighbourhood Hubs: Classes, young person’s support, family services, employment advice, activities and community projects. 

MS Society – Men’s Shed - A group for men with MS to get together and catch up on the topics that matter the most.  Whether you live with MS or support someone close to you join them on Zoom every first Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

Action against hearing lossinformation and advice to those who are deaf.

Sight Cymru: advice, information or support for those who are sight impaired. 

RNIB Cymru: a wide range of services and support for blind and partially sighted people.

Glaucoma UK: Helpline (01233 64 81 70) providing advice, guidance and information to those with glaucoma.

British Deaf Association:  information and support for those with hearing impairments.  

Facemasks for lip reading: Newport company GL100 Services can supply NHS compliant 3-ply British made lip-reading face masks to both individuals and in larger quantities. 

Family support

Family Information Service: provide quality information for parents and childcare professionals who live or work in Newport.

Dads Can: male support service which helps fathers and father figures overcome challenges such as low confidence, mental ill health, relationship breakdown, access to children and negative lifestyle choices.

Family Wellbeing Newport: Families First supports those who are at risk of living in poverty, helping them to improve their health, safety, and to enjoy wellbeing. 

Gingerbread: provide information to help single parents support themselves and their family.
