Free food safety workshops
We are offering free food safety workshops to all businesses in Newport.
The workshops will be two hours per session and are limited to one person per business.
There are two different workshops you can book on, which are:
Workshop 1 which covers:
- Cross-contamination
- E.coli guidance
- structure and maintenance
Workshop 2 which covers
- Food safety management systems (FSMS)
- Safer food, better business (SFBB)
- Hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP)
- Cleaning and disinfection
Each course will run from 11am-1pm on the dates shown below, in Committee Room 7 at Newport Civic Centre.

Funding for the courses comes from the UK government's Shared Prosperity Fund.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
