Children and young people

Libraries_May 2016

Newport Libraries welcome children, young people and their families to the wonderful world of stories and information.

Library staff will help and support your family to love books, stories and find information.

Story clubs

Story clubs provide an informal and exciting way to support parents to encourage pre-school children with reading.

Children and their carers can join in songs and rhymes, listen to stories and enjoy a craft activity relating to the theme of the week’s story, entirely free of charge.

Story clubs are held each week during term time at:

Bettws Library - Monday 11am - 11.45am

Rogerstone Library - Tuesday 2pm - 2.45pm

Caerleon Library - Wednesday 11am – 11.45am

Ringland Library - Wednesday 2pm - 2.45pm

Central Library - Thursday 11am – 11.45am

Malpas Library - Friday 11am – 11.45am

Bookstart Cymru aims to give a free pack of information and books to every baby in Wales.
