Personal Assistants – Direct Payments Scheme

Rogerstone

Independent wheelchair user requires a female personal assistant to support with her morning and evening routine for 7 hours each week.

Morning calls are one hour between 8am to 9am for five days.

Duties will include support with washing and showering, applying creams, making the bed and breakfast and lunch preparation.

Evening calls are 30 minutes in duration 7pm to 8pm for four days and duties will include preparing a hot meal and drink, support with changing clothes and preparing for bed.

The rate of pay is £7.65 per hour.

The employer will arrange and pay for a DBS enhanced check.

Marshfield 

A 52 year old woman with multiple sclerosis is looking for a personal assistant to help her to maintain her independence.   

Duties include help with showering, drying and dressing, preparing breakfast and a snack and making a hot drink.

Sometimes help will be required with continence care/ accessing the toilet. 

The employer will require a reminder to make sure she has taken her morning medication.

The hours available are 45 minutes per day in the morning for 7 days a week, but if you do not want to work all of these days this may be negotiable.

The household has a large, very friendly dog and two cats.

Rate of pay is £7.65 per hour weekdays and £8.00 per hour weekends.

The employer will arrange and pay for a DBS check.

Newport

A mother of 4 year old triplets, 2 of whom have special needs, requires a personal assistant to help with all of the children's needs, which will include ironing, dressing, play, nursery runs, hospital appointments and general housekeeping.

The successful applicant will work 8 hours on a Monday with some extra hours during the week and possibly some evenings (to be negotiated) therefore flexibility is essential.

Experience and or background in ASD are desirable and the employer will arrange to pay for CRB check if applicable.

The rates of pay are £7.56 per hour weekday rate and £7.93 per hour weekends.
