The vision set out in Newport’s master plan focuses on the renewal of the city, aiming to revive the city centre and the surrounding districts. The plan calls for a more sustainable city, where people can live closer to places where they work and shop and are encouraged to use public transport.

The regeneration of Newport is now well under way. You can also visit Newport Unlimited’s website for a virtual animation tour (opens new website) of the new developments taking place in the city centre.

Despite the extensive regeneration, there are plenty of car parking spaces available in the city – we’re sure you’ll be able to find a parking bay for you to enjoy the many shops, attractions and leisure facilities Newport has to offer.
