Robin Hood

robin hood

Legendary hero, Robin Hood, will be coming to Newport to spend his Christmas 2012! Come join our band of merrie men and maids for this year's pantomime adventure!

Robin Hood will battle the evil Prince John for justice for the fair land of Newportville and win the hand of the feisty Maid Marion. But Robin Hood is not going to be able to fight this battle on his own! He needs you in his gang of merrie maids and men if he's going to succeed.

A show full of daring deeds, duels and daftness, quick-fire slapstick, swashbuckling sword-fights, great songs and storytelling - the wackiest and most action-packed production of all and a tale where legends will be made!

Beg, borrow or steal your way to the panto for a hearty tale featuring some cracking characters. Will the daring outlaw Robin protect us from the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham and score a bull's eye in love with his Maid Marion? A hand-clapping, rib-tickling, toe-tapping adventure with something for everyone, starring a fabulous cast including Elin Llwyd (Pobol Y Cwm), Keiron Self (My Family) Richard Elis (Eastenders) and seasoned dame Lee Mengo, with Julie Hobbs, Bill Bellamy, Emma Goodwin, Simon Nehan and Newport's own hero in green tights, Daniel Llewelyn-Williams (Torchwood). Please note that Emma Goodwin will be standing in for Elin Llwyd as Maid Marion on performances on Friday 7, 14 and 21 December.

Robin Hood is brought to you from the winning Hiss & Boo & Riverfront team who brought you Dick Whittington, Jack and The Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and last year's magical production, Cinderella.
