Food Waste

Food waste

The council’s recycling partners, Newport Wastesavers, provide households with a small kitchen caddy, a larger food caddy and liners or food waste bags free of charge.

Food waste is collected from the larger food caddy at the same time as the blue and green recycling boxes are emptied.

Make sure you use liners in your food caddy

Order caddies and food waste bags

Use the online recycling box request form to order food caddies.

NEW! Food waste bags and clear bags for plastics are now available from all libraries.

Food waste bags are no longer automatically replaced. You can order a new roll online using the recycling bag request form or you can order them directly from from Wastesavers on (01633) 281281 or mail@wastesavers.co.uk.

Alternatively they are available for collection from the Information Station, Old Station Building, Queensway.
