Major improvements are taking place to the market

Improvement works are taking place to the market frontage on High Street and the units inside.

As a result the main entrance on High Street is closed, please use alternative entrances on Market Street, Griffin Street and Upper Dock Street.

The work is due to be completed later in 2013.

Opening hours

Monday to Saturday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Individual traders/stalls may operate different hours so please check to avoid frustration if you are looking for a particular stall.

Getting here and parking

The market is situated in walking distance of both the Railway station and Bus station.

If driving into the city centre, take advantage of three hours parking for just £1 offer.
