Newport Register Office offers two types of certificate issue service:
Same day service
For the same day service your completed application form must be received before 3.15pm.
All telephone orders for Superintendent Registrar’s certificate are treated as a same day service and are charged as such.

Visit the Register Office in person during opening hours, no appointment is necessary.
Arrive before close of business and we will indicate when you can expect your application to be processed.
A cheque can be left with your application so that a certificate may be posted to you or we will contact you when the entry has been traced and arrange a collection date with you for a cash, cheque, debit or credit card payment to be made.
If you prefer, download the appropriate application form using the links above and send it to the Register Office with your payment (cheque or postal order) payable to ‘Newport City Council’.
Please note that we do not accept third party cheques.
Please include either a stamped addressed envelope (SAE) or an additional £1 in your remittance to cover postage costs.
The time taken to process your application will depend on which service you choose.

Your certificate can be posted by Regular Airmail but we cannot accept liability for loss.
If you would prefer to have your certificate sent by the International Sign for Service please tell us and a charge will be made of £8.50 in addition to the cost of the certificate.
