Household Waste Recycling Centre – new opening times

The household waste recycling centre (HWRC) at Docks Way will introduce new opening hours from Wednesday 2 January.

The site provides a wide range of recycling facilities and allows residents of Newport to dispose of small amounts of domestic waste.

There are always members of staff onsite to help you dispose of your recycling and waste and ensure the site is operating safely.

HWRC opening times

Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 4.30pm

Saturday: 9.00am – 4.30pm

Sunday: 10.00am – 2.00pm

Bank Holidays: Closed all Bank Holidays except Good Friday

Landfill site opening times

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 3.30pm

Friday: 7.30am – 3.00pm

Saturday: 9.00am – 12.00pm

Sunday: Closed

Bank Holidays: Closed all Bank Holidays except Good Friday

Please note that last access to the sites is 15 minutes before the stated closing time.
