Is your school affected by the NUT strike?
Schools throughout Newport will be affected by the industrial action being taken by the National Union of Teachers on Thursday 24 April.
There will be significant variations in the impact that the strike has in schools across the city. Headteachers at each school have assessed the staffing situation and made a decision on whether or not to close the school on safety grounds (see table below).
All schools will be open to allow non-striking staff to attend work and they will undertake other duties during the day.
The following table shows the arrangements at each of our 64 schools:
