An exciting new programme, involving people just like you, is being developed to improve the health of people in your community.

Community Health Champions are people who would like to inspire and motivate their friends, family and neighbours to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Healthy Newport

Champions will receive free training on health topics so that they can advise others and make a real difference within their community.

Going 4 Gold

Going for Gold is Newport’s brand of Health Challenge Wales and aims to increase the health of Newport through a variety of projects and information about healthy lifestyles.

This free scheme links into other health initiatives like Change 4 Life (opens new website).
