Newport Super Connected Cities Project

For a limited period we can help fund a broadband connection for small and medium-sized businesses, charities, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations. We'll provide you with a grant to cover up to £3,000 of the connection costs.

Work Based Learning Academy (WBLA)

The WBLA is a skills development organisation launched by Newport City Council to aid community regeneration.

It brings together the public, private and third sectors to address employment issues, training needs and business development.

The WBLA co-ordinates and links training and employment organisations to help unemployed Newport people gain the skills they need to work and to help businesses meet their recruitment needs.

University of South Wales (opens new website) has an excellent track record of liaison with companies and organisations and offers valuable expertise and services to businesses including training, consultancy and graduate skills.

South Wales Chamber of Commerce (opens new website) is a membership-based business support organisation, quality-accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce.

Groundwork in Wales - Green Dragon Environmental Standard (opens new website) offers an environmental management system relevant to the specific needs of businesses and organisations.

GO Wales (opens new website) builds relationships with local employers, students and graduates to offer high quality work placements, jobs, work experience and training academies.

Based mainly in University Careers Services, GO Wales helps employers gain access to higher skills and innovative thinking
